Friday, Oct. 31, the UE Local 160 Virginia Public Service Workers Union rallied to oppose The College of William and Mary’s recent decision to privatize Duplicating Services and the Print Shop.
The College of Oct. 2 announcement that it would ally itself with IKON, an international printer, Copier and distributor, Walker and four other employees lost their jobs. Walker, a 14-year employee of the College, was told that if she wished to continue in her job, she would have to reapply for her position.
