František Bostl Could Walk Away With About $26.6 Million If He Cashed Out Today — Czech investor František Bostl has built a major position in Xerox, and the value of that investment remains significant even after XRX shares recently pulled back. According to Around Prague’s report, Bostl’s Starteepo fund controls approximately 8.8 million Xerox shares, representing about 6.7% of the company; using Xerox’s latest October 2 closing price of $3.02 per share, that stake would currently be worth approximately $26.6 million before taxes, transaction costs and any market impact from selling such a large position. The Around Prague report estimated that Bostl’s unrealized profit was roughly 200 million Czech crowns, or about $9.18 million, and the investor says he has no plans to sell, instead seeking discussions with Xerox management and potentially greater representation in the company’s governance. The calculation is especially noteworthy because Xerox has a market capitalization of only about $400 million, meaning an 8.8-million-share block represents a substantial portion of the company and could be difficult to liquidate instantly at the quoted market price.
