Xerox Buying LearnSomething Software Co. for Undisclosed Sum

    By Ap

      — Xerox is buying online educational services provider LearnSomething, expanding what it can offer to the food, drug and healthcare industries.

    Financial terms were not disclosed.

Xerox Corp. is a business services provider and copier company. Chief Operating Officer Connie Harvey said in a statement on Wednesday that the acquisition builds on its ability to provider customer care services to the pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare industries. The Norwalk, Conn., company entered that segment in 2010 with its TMS Health acquisition.

Privately held LearnSomething Inc. is based in Tallahassee, Fla. The company delivers its educational programs and other services to 85 percent of U.S. retail pharmacy chains. Food and drug retailers use its online services to complete regulatory compliance courses.

After the deal closes, LearnSomething will be called LearnSomething, A Xerox Company. President and CEO Steve Roden will remain in his posts.
