Mita Announces Sponsorship of Brazilian Soccer Team

Kyocera Mita Corporation and Kyocera Mita America Corporation
announced an agreement for Kyocera to become the main sponsor of Brazilian Serie
A soccer team “Atletico Paranaense” at joint press conferences held with the
club in Sao Paulo and the club’s stadium in Curitiba, Brazil on the
16th and 17th March.As part of the 3 year
sponsorship agreement, the Kyocera Logo will be displayed on the players’ shirts
and the club’s stadium renamed the “KYOCERA ARENA”.The sponsorship
project is an integral part of Kyocera Mita’s expansion plans in Brazil, which
is seen as a key growth market for the coming years.The Kyocera Group
is already the main sponsor of Japanese J-League soccer team Kyoto Purple Sanga,
and became the main sponsor of German Bundesliga team Borussia Moenchengladbach
from January this year. The new agreement in Brazil is part of the group’s
continued long-term initiative to raise awareness of the Kyocera brand around
the world.
