300 Recycling Partners With U.S. Plastic Waste Firm

US plastics recycler NextLife Enterprises has formed a strategic partnership with 300 Recycling, based in Ellesmere Port, England, to expand the collection of plastics waste in the UK.

300 Recycling is a recycler of coat hangers – a product NextLife currently recycles in the US through partnerships with several retailers. 300 Recycling has the capacity in the to recycle 1,000 metric tons of coats hangers a month. It also recycles toner, laser and inkjet cartridges, toner bottles and powders, and cartridges from photocopiers and facsimile machines.

“This strategic partnership allows NextLife to process more material from around the world, extending NextLife offerings to the UK and Europe,” said Robert Dishman, global supply chain executive vice-president at NextLife. “We plan to work together to create new product offerings and recycling opportunities in the United Kingdom.”

The partnership with NextLife will enable 300 Recycling to create a closed loop process for customers who want to turn their clothes hangers into recycling resins that they can reuse in manufacturing.

NextLife also recently received approval from Health Canada for its recycled polypropylene and recycled polystyrene resins to be used in injection moulded and thermoformed food-contact packaging applications.
