The Commission instituted this investigation on March 29, 2018, based on a complaint filed on behalf of Canon U.S .A. Inc. of Melville, New York and Canon Virginia, Inc. of Newport News, Virginia.

The All issued the subject ID on May 16, 2018, finding Arlington in default, pursuant to 19 CFR 210.17(h), because this respondent elected to default. The Commission has determined not to review the subject ID.
The Complaint Alleges
violations of section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. 1337, by reason of infringement of certain claims of U.S. Patent Nos. 9,746,826; 9,836,026; 9,841,727; 9,841,728; 9,841,729; 9,857,764; 9,857,765; 9,869,960; and 9,874,846. The Commission's notice of investigation named numerous respondents. The Office of Unfair Import Investigations is also a party to the investigation.
The authority for the Commission's determination is contained in section 337 of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended, 19 U.S.C. 1337, and in Part 210 of the Commission's Rules of Practice
and Procedure, 19 CFR part 210.
