    AUSTRALIA : 23,000 TONERS STOLEN IN BLACK MARKET SCAM 
    An Australian man has been charged for allegedly stealing 23,000 printer toner cartridges worth A$2.4 million ($3 million) over six years.The man, 35, who worked at a printer and photocopying company in Sydney’s Homebush Bay, was charged with larceny as a clerk or servant at Auburn police station yesterday.

    Police allege the man stole the cartridges between 2005 and this month while he was working at the company, before selling them. The charges relate to the 5000 cartridges he stole this year, they said.

    The man’s Eve Street apartment in Erskineville was also searched and police said they found 313 toner cartridges that were allegedly stolen.The man was granted bail to appear in Burwood Local Court on October 6.

    AN inner west printer and photocopying company worker has been charged over the alleged theft and sale of thousands of toner cartridges.Police will allege the thefts occurred between 2005 and September this year, while the man, 35, worked at the Homebush Bay company.Investigators allege about 23,000 printer toner cartridges were stolen before being on-sold privately.

    The total retail value of the theft is around $2.4 million.Investigators from Flemington LAC have laid charges in relation to the thefts which occurred this year – a total of 5000 items.The man was charged with larceny as a clerk/servant yesterday afternoon.

    He was granted bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on October 6 Police also searched the man’s unit at Eve St, Erskineville, where they seized 313 stolen toner cartridges.Investigations are continuing and further charges will be laid, police said
