    • Epson Expands WorkForce Line With New AIOs

      Epson America announced a new line of "superior performing printers" for small and home-based businesses – the WorkForce 435, 545, 645 and 845. The new all-in-ones deliver mobile printing capabilities and the "world’s fastest print speeds," the company touted. The WorkForce 845 delivers one-sided print speeds of 15 ISO ppm (black) and 9.3 ISO ppm (color) and two-sided print speeds of 7.4 ISO ppm (black) and 5.4 ISO ppm (color). The devices use Epson’s Extra High-capacity ink cartridges, which the company says will help businesses save "up to 40 percent (on ink) versus color lasers."

    • Xerox Announces WorkCentre 6015 Wi-Fi-Enabled Device

      Xerox announced the release of the WorkCentre 6015 color MFP, which is Xerox’s first Wi-Fi-enabled device. The desktop MFP combines print, copy, scan, fax and digital workflow capabilities. The device prints at speeds of 12 pages per minute (ppm) for color and 15 ppm for black and white. It also features plug-and-play setup and the ability to handle custom media and sizes.

    • GreenPrint Moves Pages From Bad Printers to Good

      GreenPrint Technologies launched a public beta version of GreenPrint Advisor, software that helps users redirect print jobs from costly or inefficient printers to more cost-effective ones. GreenPrint Advisor categorizes all printers in a corporate environment as either "red," "yellow" or "green" based on the printer’s cost and efficiency attributes. With a single click, a user can move a print job to the less expensive "green" printer, generating substantial savings for the customer and new revenue for the print providers in the process.

      After 10 years, Collins Ink Corporation has terminated its supply agreement with Kodak. The company has supplied inks for Kodak’s Versamark printers for the past 20 years. Customers with these devices will be able to buy ink for their printers directly from Collins Ink.
