    California Tosses Canon Antitrust Class Action

    Law360, Los Angeles (July 26, 2016, 9:54 PM ET) — The Ninth Circuit on Tuesday shuttered an electronics repair shop’s proposed antitrust class action alleging Canon is illegally stingy with independent service facilities, finding that California law doesn’t force the company to provide parts and other supplies for repairs.

    Sherman Bahr, sole proprietor of electronics repair business Video One Repair, had argued the appeals court should revive his suit because California’s Song-Beverly Act requires manufacturers to make parts and literature available to repair shops for at least seven years after the release of a consumer electronics…
