Canon’s Proprietary Toner Achieve a Wide Color Reproduction
RangeColor reproduction in color copying machines sometimes falls
short of the original image because of differences between toners and printing
inks. To remedy this situation, Canon has developed a full-color copying machine
toner with a wide color reproduction range.We not only raised the
chromaticity of each toner color (CMYK), but also refined a material that raises
reproduction capability over the entire color-space spectrum when colors are
mixed. The new toner, which has 30% higher color reproduction range than
previous toners, provides a color reproduction range comparable with that of
offset printing.With excellent heat-fusion properties, the new toner
fixes quickly and boasts a 1.5 times faster process speed than previous toners,
thus contributing to higher-speed output.
