    • CopyMax Changes Name to OfficeMax Print and Document Services

    OfficeMax announced it is changing the name of its print-for-pay business from CopyMax to OfficeMax Print and Document Services.

    “The new name better reflects our full capabilities of copy and print services not only for retail customers, but also for corporate customers requiring management, production and distribution of Documents Across the country,” said Chris Milliken, president and CEO of OfficeMax.

    With the merger of OfficeMax and Boise Office Solutions Approximately one year ago, CopyMax gained access to one of the best distribution systems in the industry. This year OfficeMax will begin adding OfficeMax Print and Document Services facilities within its distribution centers across the country to better serve large contract customers requiring complex document manufacturing and fulfillment. The combination of print and document services in retail and distribution centers has further positioned OfficeMax as a frontrunner in new business solutions for customers. Contract customers also will benefit from next-day, free delivery of both office products and print orders in one shipment.

    “By expanding our capabilities in our distribution centers, we will leverage our technology infrastructure and distribution network to help companies move large documents without the time and cost of shipping,” said Brian Norris, senior vice president of OfficeMax Print and Document Services.

    Launching CopyMax in 1995, OfficeMax became the leader among office supply product retailers in offering printing and copying. Today, OfficeMax stores nationwide provide these services with cutting edge technology, including a fleet of more than 5,000 Xerox(R) digital printers and copiers.

    “OfficeMax has positioned itself to become a leader in the digitally connected document services industry,” Milliken said. “Through our investment over the last few years in people, services, equipment and technology, we are now 100 percent digitally connected at our nearly 1,000 stores, allowing customers to send files right from their desktop to be picked up or shipped to a destination of their choice.”

    OfficeMax Print and Document Services facilities also will open inside each of the 50 new retail stores that OfficeMax expects to open in 2005.

    OfficeMax Print and Document Services facilities, located inside OfficeMax stores nationwide, offer full-service digital printing, self-serve copying, custom printing and a full suite of binding and finishing services.

    With its 100% fully digital network, customers can send files Directly from a desktop to the nearest OfficeMax location via the Web.
