Epson Opens One-Stop Printing Center in Singapore
By Networks Asia staffIn an attempt to help partners improve efficiency, knowledge and capabilities Epson opened its first ever Centre of Print Innovation in Singapore, a regional one-stop center providing leading-edge solutions and developments in printing for professional customers.
Endo Koichi, Managing Director of Epson Southeast Asia said that it was no longer enough for a company like Epson to merely create products but to really succeed, they also needed to educate partners on how Epson products and solutions can be useful to them and customers. “We need to provide them with the tools to become true printing and product consultants,” he said.
The Centre comprises three areas: Commercial Printing, Label Solutions and The Digital Lab, each showcasing distinctive and exciting products built around Epson’s original compact, energy saving and high precision technologies.
The centre also houses a media and printer evaluation lab, which will serve Epson’s partners in two ways. Firstly, it will provide them with the opportunity to evaluate the widest range of locally available compatible label media, allowing them to make informed purchasing decisions. Secondly, partners can also discern which printer would best serve their business needs.
Epson added that the Digital Lab also serves to give Epson’s customers a wider range of capabilities, expanding their solutions offerings through a centralized control hub, thus improving their versatility and productivity.
According to Shaun See, General Manager, Commercial and Industrial Division at Epson Southeast Asia, the business center helps showcase to partners and customers possible new revenue streams or processes that can be streamlined and reduce costs.
See added that Epson made a conscious decision to move up the value chain from providing products to consumers to providing solutions to SMBs and enterprises. He added that we can expect to see these arriving in the region later this year.
