Florida's Oldest Toner Remanufacturer Atlantic Laser Is Rebranding Itself
by Jensen Werley
Atlantic Laser is transitioning its cartridge brands to a new name and a redesign.
The company, the oldest remanufacturer of laser toner cartridges in Jacksonville, is getting rid of its Pure Print and Ultra Print brands after more than 24 years of use, replacing it with a new brand.
Atlantic Laser is partnering with a wholesale company to offer a wider selection of cartridges and phasing out its old image in favor of CTI logo and branding.
"The entire toner cartridge industry made changes over past few years," said company President Patsy Underwood. "There are fewer and fewer local manufacturers."
Underwood said that when the company started, there were only a few main brands of printers to supply cartridges for. Now with so many, the company formed a partnership so they could offer a wider selection to their customers. With the change, it seemed like a good time to rebrand.
The company was founded in 1992 and offers over 28,000 office products. Its remanufactured toner cartridges are collected from customers and then cleaned, repaired and refilled.
