Fujifilm To End Sales of Film , Marking The End Of An Era

While we’ve recently seen the resurrection of 110 and Polaroid film, other formats aren’t going to be quite so lucky. Fujifilm, the only remaining vendor of APS film, has said that it will stop selling the 24mm cartridge format to suppliers at the end of this month. The company announced plans to stop production last July, and it’s taken the following 10 months for stock to be exhausted.

APS (Advanced Photo System) film hasn’t been popular for a while, and Kodak also ceased production last year. The format’s lasting legacy will be having lent its name to the similarly-sized APS-C sensors found in consumer DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. Fujifilm, for its part, says it plans to continue selling other film products.
