AnonymousInactiveHP Brings New Expensive Officejet Pro Printers to Market
Adam HaighHP today unveiled a new series of Officejet printers which the company says are designed to simplify printing for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
HP points to a survey conducted at this time last year by InfoTrends entitled "Is Inkjet Printing Technology Ready to Transform the U.S. Office Printing Environment" which predicted that business inkjet printers will make up 56% of all print devices used by U.S. businesses. Because of this, HP's newest Officejet Pro 8600 series has been designed to work with existing HP services such as HP Instant Ink as well as support for mobile print and print management solutions which allow businesses to focus on their mission and not printing.
Stephen Nigro, senior vice president, Inkjet and Printing Solutions and Graphics Solutions Business, Printing and Personal Systems Group, HP, said, "'Small business owners are constantly looking for ways to reduce operating costs and increase productivity. These new inkjet printers deliver the high-quality printing our customers expect, while helping reduce costs and increase efficiency with the availability of HP Instant Ink replacement service and the latest mobile print technology.'"
"Business Printing Made Simple"
So far, the lineup consists of three new printers, the Officejet Pro 8630 e-All-in-One, the Officejet Pro 8620 e-All-in-One, and the Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One. All can provide savings to customers of up to 50% compared to equivalent color laser printers. To ensure maximum productivity, the new devices can managed with HP Web Jetadmin and content can be organized and accessed via the cloud with HP Flow CM professional.
With the aforementioned HP Instant Ink, users can achieve massive savings on the cost of their ink consumables. There are three different monthly plans which makes it possible for the printer to order replacement ink before the ink is gone. Each plan is based not on the number of cartridges, but rather the number of pages printed for one monthly fee.
All three of the new printers meet Mopria global standards for delivering mobile printing from smartphones, tablets, and other mobile devices. They are already compatible with current standard wireless printing solutions such as HP ePrint, Wi-Fi direct, and more. As an added bonus, the HP Officejet Pro 8630 and 8620 support NFC touch-to-print capabilities so getting a document is as easy as tapping on the printer with one?s mobile device.
Pricing and Availability
The HP Officejet Pro 8610 eAIO will be available for $199.99 in select countries beginning on April 7, 2014.
The HP Officejet Pro 8620 eAIO, which features a stunning 4.3? LCD color display and quicker printing and scanning speeds compared to the 8610, as well as a 50-page ADF, will be available for $299.99 in select countries beginning on April 7, 2014.
The HP Officejet Pro 8630, another step up from the 8620, includes an extra paper tray, color cartridges, and OCR software will be available for $399.99 in select countries beginning on May 5, 2014.
