    HP introduces flood relief campaign for printer customers

    Setting up special service centers to provide a wide range of support to customers
    HP has implemented a flood relief policy for its customers, opening printer service centers for customers across all segments, ranging from consumer, to commercial and enterprise groups. An HP Hotline, Tel. no. 0-2637-5899 has been set up to provide troubleshooting support to customers, offering an initial check up free of charge.

    "Due to the ongoing flood crisis, which is impacting a large number of people as well as businesses, HP, as the leader in the printing industry, has put in place a policy to provide timely support to our customers across all segments who have been hit by this major natural disaster. This forms part of our relief effort to enable customers to reduce the hassles associated with printer repairs and maintenance, as well as any concerns they may have about using the printers at home or in the workplace," said Vatsun Thirapatarapong, General Manager of Imaging and Printing Group, Hewlett-Packard (Thailand).

    For commercial customers, HP focuses on providing services to customers in 7 industrial estates hit by the flood crisis, the Saharat Nakorn Industrial Estate, Rojchana Industrial Estate, Hitech Industrial Estate, The Factory Land Industrial Estate, Bangpa-in Industrial Estate, Navanakorn Industrial Estate and Bangkadi Industrial Park. HP plans to open on-site service centers after floodwaters recede and the sites are safely accessible. Services offered are free of charge including free checkups and maintenance, as well as up to 35% discount on spare parts if replacements are required.

    Consumer group customers in flood-damaged areas can bring their Inkjet and Laser printers to convenient HP distribution centers (customer can call HP Hotline at 0-2637-5899 to check nearby location that available for such service) or they can bring their take Inkjet and LaserJet to Office Depot or IT City. If a printer is found flood-damaged, customers can buy a new one with a special discount offered up to 12,000 baht (for some specific models). These offers are available now until December 15, 2011.

    HP enterprise customers can call HP Flood Hotline at 0-2637-5899 to discuss their issues and either choose to bring their printers to service centers directly, or request that HP support staff provide on-site services.

    Furthermore, HP customers affected by flooding in the greater Bangkok area can also contact 0-2637-5899 HP Flood Hotline for troubleshooting and service consultation. Alternately, they can take printers that have been damaged by flooding to the HP Service Center, 3rd Floor at U-Chu-Liang Building, from today until November 30, 2011.

    "Providing troubleshooting services for our printer customers is a high priority for the HP Image and Printing Group, taking into account the aftermath of the flood crisis and the possible impact it will have on their workflow and overall agility. HP is committed to providing relief efforts for our clients across all segments, made possible thanks to the kind cooperation of our vendors and partnerships, Office Depot and IT City. HP services cover Inkjet and Laser printer customers in flooded areas, as well as printers during and after their warranty period, to reaffirm that our commitment to customers is our top priority," Mr Vatsun concluded.
