ILG wins First Place in 2011 Green Award

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. — ILG (International Laser Group) was voted the winner of the 2011 Green Award by the industry and by the Recharger magazine readers.

The Green Award was awarded on July 20, 2011 during the Recharger’s Readers Choice Awards at the World Expo in Las Vegas. The Green award is presented to the company the industry recognizes as the leader in “Environmentally conscious products or services” and for demonstrating a commitment to sustainable green manufacturing business.”

ILG has long been recognized as green for its merit as one of the leading OEM alternative toner cartridge remanufacturers in North America. But ILG’s commitment to maintaining an ecologically friendly manufacturing and business operation extends beyond recycling.

ILG’s rigorous quality controlled manufacturing processes ensure that recycled and recyclable parts are utilized in re-manufacturing of toner cartridges. Since 2007, ILG has worked diligently to recycle increasingly more manufacturing scrap. The company continually researches and invests in new ways to reduce its ecological footprint.

What’s more, while many remanufacturers have narrowed the scope of their recycling programs, ILG remains steadfast in its quest to make recycling easy and free.

“We are honored to receive first-place in the Green Award from our industry. Our commitment to the environment is not new. What is new is our aggressive empty core collection recycling program. We’re proud of our green stance, and we want our customers to take comfort in knowing that no product received will end up in a landfill.”  Says Gary Michaels, Chief Operating Officer.

ILG’s recycling program conforms to ISO 14001:2004 standards. The program also maintains a documented ZERO LANDFILL Initiative, which means that approximately 97% of all material received through the program will be reused or recycled.  ILG also expanded its recycling to include

“E-Core-Cycle™” an empty buy-back recycling program. Recycling used toner cartridges is easy and free. ILG will pay for the shipping and provide the labels, and ILG’s empties collection department disperse money quickly to pre-approved customers.

During the Recharger’s Expo show, ILG also received recognition from the industry for the following categories.

u Best New Product or Service:  for the JUMBO CC364X

u Quality Leader – for the Smart COLOR System Toner

                u Best Customer Support

                u Best Website

ILG has recently developed an Eco Accountability charter with overview of the company’s commitment to the environment and a sustainable manufacturing operation.  The booklet will be available on ILG’s website: http://www.ilglaser.com/recyclng, or call ILG at 800-937-2880.
