    • My Toast at VJ’s Retirement Party

      Gary Peterson, president of Gap Intelligence gave a toast at IPG’s Executive Vice President Vyomesh Joshi’s (VJ) retirement party. With some history and humor, Peterson toasted HP’s past leadership and initiatives, HP’s new leadership and future, and Joshi saying, “Starting in 1980 as a research engineer, VJ’s steadfast vision and passion for his products should place his career at HP in the same breath as Steve Jobs (yes, I said it). He will be missed.”

      Toshiba e-Studio206L, 256 and 306

      Toshiba has refreshed the lower tier of its A3 workgroup monochrome MFP products with the launch of the e-Studio206L, 256 and 306, which replace the e-Studio205SE, 255SE and 305SE, respectively. The new machines like their predecessors employ the same print and copy engine that debuted in the e-Studio205, 255 and 305 released in 2009. Although Toshiba’s latest machines do not use a new generation of technology, they do offer such key improvements as the ability to print or scan from a USB drive and on-the-fly toner and paper replenishment along with a new 9-inch color LCD touch screen.
