HP Launches “Advantage” Digital Printers

HP, a multifaceted computer manufacturing company, which range of products  also include digital printers and related ancillaries, on Wednesday unveiled its latest range of wireless, internet based printers (e printers) to the local market.HP South East Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong director & Printing & Personal Systems Group (PSG) Head P.V. Viswanath speaking to reporters on this occasion said that since introducing e printers to the local market last year, competition is yet to match such products.

He further said that HP was the largest player in the global printer market, with the company annually ships 52.3 million printers and 62 million PCs. “We hold the number one position in printers and printing supplies,” Viswanath said.He also said that with the advent of HP’s innovative and secure e printers, those are also “ink advantage printers.” “It’s not just the cost of the printer, but the cost of the usage of the printer, that is also important to the consumer,” he said.

As such these are ultra low cost printing, but without compromising on quality, Viswanath added.“These are ink advantage printers, saving up to 50% of the running cost, ahead of competition, with a cartridge being able to deliver 550 pages,” he said. Further, those are not only equipped with scanning and printing facilities, but also come complete with a fax, said Viswanath. “The printers which come with 3D scanners and are connected to the web, are also ideal for the industry and SME sector,” he said. HP’s Printers for Printing & PSG Sri Lanka Country Business Manager Shamal De Silva said that their’s is the only company that offers “one for one” guarantee of replacement of equipment in the local market. “Some of HP’s innovative products have been introduced and we look forward to bring in more innovative products as we go along,” he said.

HP’s Asia Emerging Countries Printing & Personal Systems General Manager Ms. Su San Ang in her speech said that HP’s Advantage series printers that they were launching to the Sri Lanka market were unprecedented in quality.The models introduced included the new HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3525, 5525 e-All-in-One printers; HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4615 All-in-One and 4625e-All-in-One printers and the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2515 All-in-One printer, said a press release.
