ipl BEGINS COMMERCIAL SUPPLY OF CHEMICAL COLOUR TONERS
FOR LASER PRINTERS AND COPIERS
NAND ipl START MANUFACTURING OF NANOPRODUCT TONERSGurgaon , New Delhi, India.
October 28, 2010.NAND ipl has brought on stream a
state-of-the-art plant in Northern India for the manufacture of
chemical colour toners. This R&D-driven manufacturer is using the
latest nanotechnology and flexible manufacturing platform to produce
a range of chemical colour toners for use on popular laser printers
and copiers and other nanoproducts for a variety of high-tech
applications.According to Dr. Abhinava K.
Srivastava, CEO of NAND ipl, “Nanotechnology is revolutionizing
research and product development in many fields apart from printing
and imaging. Among these are medicine, pharmaceuticals, fuel cell
development, battery fabrication, fuel additives and precision
coating technology. NAND ipl is already certified as a ISO 9001:2008
and ISO 14000:2004 company by Moody International/UKAS.”Head-quartered in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR ,
India, NAND ipl is the joint venture partner of NAND Inc., Illinois
, USA. The company’s principals are visionaries who led the R&D
efforts and successfully commercialized the technology and products
for some of the current producers of chemical colour toners. The company’s new 40,000 square foot
plant is located in Himachal Pradesh (Northern India). “We plan to
leverage advances in nanotechnology,” said Dr. Srivastava, “to
develop, manufacture, and commercialize nano-based products, one of
which is our BESTONE line of chemically-produced toners. In
addition to using advances in nanotechnology and nanoscience to
manufacture nanoproducts, we are applying our expertise and knowledge
in scale-up and production to commercialize specialty colorants,
pigments and chemical products in collaboration with NAND Inc., USA
.”Said Mr. Sanjeev Mahajan, NAND’s Vice
President of Sales and Marketing, “Our first products comprise a
line of advanced chemical colour toners used in the latest colour
laser printers. To establish a competitive cost structure, we built a
commercial, export-oriented unit associated with our plant in
Himachal Pradesh. We are keenly interested in forming partnerships
with professional companies engaged in the sale and distribution of
aftermarket components and consumables for OEM laser printers and
copiers.”Explains Dr. Srivastava, “NAND ipl’s
BESTONE chemical colour toners for the market leading brands of
laser colour printers and copiers family is our first,
fully-developed offering. The proprietary technology that we use
allows aggregation of millions of nano-sized particles to produce
these high resolution, colour toners with a desirable structure to
achieve the best print results. Hence the performance of BESTONE
toners will always be equivalent to OEM quality in terms of colour
brilliance, consistency and image density. We are also capable of
customizing our products to meet the needs of our customers and
markets.”He said the technology is successfully
tested in laboratory, pilot plant and production trials and started
commercial production recently. Additionally, development is now
completed on 4-color sets (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black) for
several leading printers including the five most popular models of
market leading laser colour printers and copiers initially . All
products have been designed to give similar performance to their
respective OEM chemical toners.Said Mr. Mahajan, “NAND is in the
process of forming distribution partnerships in each major territory
so that its customers can have readily available stocks, technical
support from familiar companies already in the industry and who can
quickly provide them with the best support in the demanding colour
toner cartridge segment.”NAND ipl is also in active discussions
with nanotechnology development companies in forming long-term
partnership to apply its expertise in scale-up and manufacturing to
bring various nano-products to market at low cost.ABOUT
