Takes Over Germany's Gebos Business.
The Italian specialist for copier and printer supplies IR Italiana Riprografia srl ​​took over in July the shares of the supplies distributor Gebos based in Bensheim.

IR Italiana Riprografia is the parent company of a leading European group of original, compatible and remanufactured consumables and spare parts for copiers, fax machines, printers and multimedia accessories. The company is active in almost all European countries and has its own subsidiaries in Spain and Germany. For more than 25 years, gebos has been serving specialist retailers, in particular in Germany and France, with both original and compatible consumables.

Both companies have been cultivating intensive and trusting cooperation for many years. This cooperation has now created a capital-based network. The advantages for both sides are obvious: For IR gebos is an ideal bridgehead in the German market, especially since one is regarded as a high-performance and reliable partner of the specialized trade, it is said from Bendsheim. In return, gebos customers should be able to benefit from a significantly larger product portfolio and better availability. This applies in particular to the compatible products, which IR produces on its own and sometimes markets under the "GraphicJet" brand.

The IR Group also has another sales office in the German market with IR Deutschland GmbH. For the time being, both companies will continue to work independently with their own customers. The management of gebos GmbH remains in the hands of Gerhard Bayer. In the future, the two companies are to be merged into a single company with the aim of offering customers more efficient and profitable business opportunities.
