The Eastman Kodak Charitable Trust today announced a $100,000
donation to the American Red Cross relief efforts helping survivors of
the Jan. 12 earthquake in Haiti.

strong earthquake that hit Haiti and more IT companies are revealing
their intention to make donations or otherwise offer assistance to the
survivors. Among these corporations is Dell that has announced a
corporate cash donation of $500,000 and an extra $250,000 worth of
employee donations, as well as its intention to find further ways of

The devastation caused by the earthquake is
extensive, with widespread damage having been inflicted upon public and
business institutions, as well as the infrastructure of the Haitian
government. The $500,000 donation is meant to assist the critical
efforts of both UNICEF and the International Red Cross. These two
organizations will evenly divide the funds between themselves and ensure
that they are able to propel the aid efforts. In addition, the $250,000
donated by the company’s employees are aimed at not only providing
further help to the unfortunate victims of the earthquake, but also at
inspiring others to assist in their own way.Dell has created a special
