Kodak outs ESP C310 all-in-one printer
Kodak
has announced it will display the new ESP C310 color multifunction
printer at CES2011. The printer uses Kodak’s new 30 Series ink
cartridges, which company claims the provides the lowest total ink
replacement cost. It can connect by either USB or 802.11n WiFi, and can
print directly from an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad with a free app from
the Kodak website.With the 1.5in display screen on its control panel,
the ESP C310 can print from a card slot that supports SD/SDHC, MMC, and
Memory Stick media. The printer also has a number of common forms stored
in its memory, including graph paper, line paper, wide-rule paper,
tic-tac-toe, to-do lists, grocery lists and sheet music.
The ESP
C310 was selected as an honoree in the Eco-Design and Sustainability
Category for the Consumer Electronics Show 2011 Innovation Awards. The
printer is Energy Star qualified and uses 71 percent less energy in
standby mode than older Kodak all-in-one machines.The ESP 310 is
compatible with Microsoft Windows XP SP2, Max OS 10.4.8, and more recent
versions of those operating systems. The company did not specify the
unit’s printing speed.The Kodak ESP C310 will retail for $100. The
company expects it will be available by April 2011.
