Konica Minolta Acquired Compuquip Technologies‘ MSP Business

All Covered, the managed services provider (MSP) division of Konica Minolta Business Solutions, has acquired Compuquip Technologies‘ MSP business. Compuquip, meanwhile will continue offering enterprise security services, low-voltage cabling, reporting and analytics software solutions. Here’s the update.

All Covered has continued to buy up regional IT service providers and vertical market MSPs, striving to become the top SMB IT service provider in the United States. Compuquip, meanwhile, has been diversifying and launching sister business brands — such as Blue Wave Communications and BrightGauge.

The All Covered deal also re-aligns Compuquip’s founding family — the Dosals.

Alberto Dosal, will remain as chairman of the family-owned and -operated companies (the Compuquip businesses — not acquired by All Covered)
Son Brian will take on the role of Compuquip’s Managing Director.
Brian’s brother, Eric, has been named All Covered’s Managing Director for Miami (the business portion acquired by All Covered). Compuquip’s MSP brand essentially switches to the All Covered brand, led by Eric.

According to a press release posted on Compuquip’s website:
“Under the terms of the agreement, All Covered will assume Compuquip’s existing Managed IT Services client contracts and leverage its resources to expand delivery of those services to a wider base of South Florida businesses.  In addition, Compuquip’s Managed IT Services team will become employees of All Covered, a division of Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc., and will continue to operate out of the same state-of-the-art facility in Doral, Fla., that they had previously.”

All Covered already has a footprint in Miami and Tampa. And more moves could be coming: Sources close to All Covered say at least one more MSP deal could be announced within the next week or two.
