Konica Minolta Partnered With Beyond Social Services to Help Underprivileged Children and Youth, and Their Loved Ones Celebrate Mothers' Day.

SINGAPORE — (Marketwired) — 05/19/15 — Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia and Beyond Social Services, a local voluntary welfare organisation, held a baking class for underprivileged children and youth on Saturday, 9th May 2015, where they baked rainbow cakes as a show of their appreciation and gratitude to their mothers. A total of 18 children and youth participated in the baking class. A total of 21 employees participated in the activity which saw them building friendships with the children and youth, and baking alongside them.

The baking class provided a warm and friendly experiential learning environment that allowed for easy and uninhibited flow of conversations between the children, youth and employees of Konica Minolta, whom volunteered to be a part of the initiative. Through the baking class, the volunteers developed a deeper understanding of the difficulties faced by the children and youth that they had interacted with. The volunteers also shared valuable life lessons and stories, as a way of motivating the children and youth to aspire to achieve their goals.
