Lexmark Acquires Medical Software Company Acuo Technologies

<p><font size=”4″>M</font><font size=”4″>inneapolis-based Acuo Technologies, a medical software company, has been acquired by Lexmark International, the two firms announced late Wednesday.</font></p>
<p><font size=”4″>Lexmark, based in Lexington, Ky., will buy Acuo for about $45 million.</font></p>
<p><font size=”4″>Acuo stores, distributes, tracks and migrates digital medical images. National governments, university medical centers and urban and regional acute care centers and companies use Acuo’s software and services, primarily in North America and Europe. The firm will become part of Perceptive Software, a Lexmark company.</font></p>

<p><font size=”4″>Acuo Technologies, with headquarters in Minneapolis, was founded in 2000.</font></p>
