    Lexmark Awarded $20M Printing Contract With Statoil Co

    LEXINGTON, Ky., Oct., 2012– Statoil, a leading energy company within the oil and gas production industry, has chosen Lexmark International, Inc.  for a five-year printing solution services agreement approximately valued at $20 million for the initial contract period. Lexmark is now the sole printing solution services provider for Statoil operations worldwide.

    Lexmark will optimize Statoil’s output infrastructure, providing output solutions, improving security and implementing other managed services. Deploying Lexmark’s intuitive smart multifunction products will also streamline business processes and provide an environmentally sound solution that decreases energy and consumables usage and significantly reduces the number of printed pages.

    In addition, Lexmark will deploy security measures across the organization as well as best-in-class color technology to deliver additional benefits.

    Lexmark’s Print Release solution will enable Statoil to manage and control its printing volumes, reduce the number of pages printed unnecessarily and result in greater information security, as well as greater flexibility because Statoil employees can now release their printouts at any printer in the company.

    These Lexmark solutions and services will be executed globally throughout Statoil’s organization, providing consistency and visibility to its output fleet.
