    Malaysian Navy Men Busted For $22K Toner Ordering Scam.
    Two Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) officers, as well as a company owner and manager, have been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly submitting false claims.     They are believed to have submitted false claims worth RM93,685 for the purchase of toners for the RMN centre in Pulau Indah, Port Klang. The goods however, were allegedly never delivered.

    Sources said the RMN officers hold the ranks of petty officer and lieutenant commander.

    Also nabbed were the owner of the company involved in selling the toners as well as its manager.

    The source said although the claims of purchase was issued by the company, the toners which were listed on the document were never supplied.

    “We will seek a remand order against the two RMN officers as well as the company owner at the Klang magistrate’s court tomorrow morning.

    “The company manager has been released with a notice and bail which requires him to be present at the Klang MACC office to have his statement recorded.

    “All four are aged between 37 and 50. They will be investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009 for providing false claims,” said the source.

    Meanwhile, Selangor MACC director Datuk Alias Salim confirmed the arrests but declined to comment further.
