Man Faces Grand Larceny For Stealing Toner From Walmart

A Rochester man accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of printer ink and electronics from a Genesee County Walmart is facing felony charges.

Antonio L. James, 21, of Avenue A was charged Wednesday with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony, according to Genesee County sheriff’s deputies. James is accused of placing more than $2,400 worth of printer ink and electronics in a plastic tote bag and running out of the store on Wednesday afternoon.

The incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. at the Walmart of Veterans Memorial Drive in Batavia, deputies said.

James was arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Batavia Town Court and was remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail, according to court records. James is scheduled to return to court for a preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon.
