New chief for Canon USA
April 2005 – Lake Success
(NY): Canon USA has appointed Yoroku Adachi as its new president and CEO. Adachi
has also been named managing director on Canon Inc’s board of directors.Canon USA’s current president/CEO, Kinya Uchida, will return to Canon to
serve as advisor for the company’s Tokyo headquarters.Uchida said: “My
time as president and CEO of Canon USA was one of the most rewarding experiences
of my career. It has been an honour and a privilege to work with the many
employees, clients and customers I have met during my time here. Together we
have accomplished a great deal.“I am confident Mr Adachi will continue
to expand on this success,” he added.
