New York: Xerox And Xerox Union Agree to Contract Extension
by Staff reportst
Xerox Corp. and the union representing close to 1,000 hourly Xerox workers in the Rochester region have agreed to a one-year contract extension.
Rochester Regional Joint Board Manager Gary Bonadonna Sr. said the sides agreed to an extension instead of opening negotiations, which were to have started this week.
Under the terms of the extension, represented workers would not see any pay raises, but their contribution to health care costs also would not change, Bonadonna said.
The current, three-year contract was ratified in May 2010. The union membership includes maintenance people, toner and equipment manufacturers, truckers and forklift operators
