Brother unveils new color inkjet all-in-ones

International on Tuesday introduced three new Multi-function Centre
(MFC) products that are Mac and PC compatible. The MFC-240c, MFC-440cn
and MFC-665cw are headed to stores cost $99.99, $149.99 and $199.99
respectively. The MFC-240c will be in stores later this month, with the
other two expected to reach retailers by September.The MFC-240c
features an automatic document feeder that holds up to 10 pages, print
speeds up to 25 pages per minute in black and white and 20 pages per
minute in color, and print resolutions of up to 6000 x 1200 dots per
inch.The MFC-440cn is “network ready: with a built-in Ethernet
interface that lets users print, scan, fax and access media cards over
the network. The MFC-665cw adds wireless networking capabilities.Both
of the networkable MFCs also include support with all major media cards
and PictBridge, enabling users to connect digital cameras directly to
them or to insert their camera’s digital media cards to print out
images without needing the computer first. They also feature flip-up
color LCD displays and a Photo Bypass Tray that holds up to 20 sheets
of 4 x 6-inch photo paper without removing the standard paper.The
MFC-655cw also includes a “built-in Message Center” that provides a
digital answering machine that can record up to 29 minutes of calls,
and features a full-duplex speakerphone and telephone handset.All three
printers use Brother’s new Innobella ink cartridges and photo papers;
they feature a four-cartridge ink series that allows users to replace
individual colors when they come out.
