Brother Industries to open Vietnam printer plan
HANOI,
Feb 06- Japanese printer maker Brother Industries has received a
licence to invest $40 million in a printer plant in northern Vietnam,
state media reported on Wednesday.
The Tuoi Tre newspaper
quoted Vietnamese officials at the industrial park in Hai Duong
province as saying all products from the plant would be exported.
They said Brother Industries would invest another $30 million to expand the plant’s capacity next year.
Last
year Canon Inc. opened the world’s largest laser printer plant with
annual capacity of 8.4 million units in Vietnam’s northern province of
Bac Ninh. It also operates a large ink jet printer plant near capital
