Cartridge World Supplies a ‘Green’ Solution to Kodak Printers
National Ink Refilling Retailer Offers Consumers a Cost Effective Way to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Cartridge World Supplies a ‘Green’ Solution to Kodak Printers
EMERYVILLE, Calif., Feb.07 — On the heels of the Kodak announcement of its entry into the inkjet printer market, Cartridge World, the largest ink refilling retailer, reminds consumers that using refilled cartridges remains the most cost efficient way to print and is the right environmental solution.”Reusing inkjet and laser cartridges is budget friendly, easy to do, safe and much better for the environment,” said Burt Yarkin, CEO of Cartridge World. “More than 300 million cartridges end up in landfills every year — that’s almost eight cartridges thrown away in the United States every second. Unfortunately, the problem isn’t getting better, either. The number of cartridges in landfills increases by 12 percent each year.”Addressing the growing concerns of global warming, reusing existing products like cartridges will lessen the negative impact on the environment.Cartridge World estimates their efforts have kept nine million cartridges out of landfills along with providing up to 50 percent savings for consumers, answering both money savings and environmental concerns. The most cost efficient way for consumers is to purchase a low cost printer and use refilled cartridges. Cartridge World’s average price per refilled inkjet cartridge is only $15.With the Kodak example, the low-end printer and ink cartridges comes to approximately $250, while a high-end printer would result in a $400 investment total in the first year. In comparison, when the other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) low priced inkjet printers are paired with Cartridge World’s refilled cartridges, the total year investment is only $160.Cartridge World presently refills cartridges from all OEM’s and has been refilling Kodak cartridges for years.Different from the efforts of big manufacturers, Cartridge World addresses environmental issues by showcasing its ability to refill inkjet cartridges an average of three to eight times and remanufacture laser cartridges infinitely, all without sacrificing quality. In fact, research also found that 77 percent of users ranked remanufactured cartridges as better than or equivalent to ones by name-brand ink.
