Dell Profit Climbs, Sees Sales Rising Dell Inc., the No. 1 personal computer company, on Thursday reported its fifth consecutive quarter of year- on-year profit improvement and said that technology demand has stabilized but not greatly improved. Chief Executive Michael Dell said corporate executives’ outlooks are improving slightly, following three years of recession in spending on information technology.
