Forty-Three of the World's Top 100 Law Firms Use eCopy Technology
Seamless Integration to Document Management and Cost Recovery Systems Helps Drive Worldwide Adoption
PHOENIX, AZ — LawNet Conference — eCopy, Inc., An innovative provider of document distribution and integration solutions, today announced that 43 of the top 100 law firms in the World use eCopy software to save time, money and protect intellectual property by using their digital copier to instantly create, distribute and store electronic copies of paper documents.
Clifford Chance; Latham & Watkins; McDermott, Will & Emery; Kirkland & Ellis; Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld; and Shook, Hardy & Bacon are a few of the 43 top 100 law firms that have deployed eCopy ShareScan and eCopy Connector software. These firms are using eCopy software to enable walk up access to scanning from a Canon digital copier or scanner that connects to e-mail, fax, document management, and other networked enterprise applications for a low-cost, easy, instantaneous distribution and management of digital copies of paper documents.
"eCopy ShareScan has been one of the most popular software applications introduced at the firm," said Jerry L. We set up a walk up scanning station on every floor in each of our offices using eCopy and Canon digital copiers so anyone can scan a document to an electronic format and e-mail or store it in our document management system."
With eCopy Connector software, many of these law firms use eCopy ShareScan to add paper documents to their information lifecycle by scanning them directly to their document management system. eCopy Connectors provide full-function integration to Interwoven WorkSite, Hummingbird Enterprise™-DM, and several other leading document management systems.
As more law firms replace copied documents and faxes with scanning, there is an increasing need to capture the cost of scanning so that it can be recovered from clients. Through integration with the legal industry's leading cost recovery solutions, eCopy users can automatically capture the costs associated with scanning for clients and make cost recovery a routine part of the firms daily document workflow. Cost recovery Connectors are available to integrate eCopy with solutions from Copitrak, Equitrac, Sepialine, Billback Systems, and nQueue.
Another important reason for eCopy's success in the legal industry is a growing emphasis on electronic filing. In a related announcement, nQueue announced today that its cost recovery solution is now integrated with eCopy ShareScan and operates on eCopy's hardware platform ScanStation. The integration enables nQueue Embedded for eCopy ShareScan cost recovery solution to work from the eCopy ScanStation, eliminating the need for extra hardware dedicated to cost recovery
