Color Laser Printer Prices Crash in Europe, Says Context 
Color laser printer prices in the European corporate channel have fallen by as much as 40 percent over the last three months. The analysts say this is the steepest quarterly price decline the sector has ever experienced.
Across the board, prices of mainstream Color Multi-pass and Single-pass printers have fallen significantly, driven by a combination of competitive pressures and a move to push the sector into the volume market.
Despite these steep price declines, significant further reductions are expected over the coming months, following Dell's entry into the product arena. Average market pricing for Single-pass products at the close of quarter hit the Euro 1,500 mark. Context expects pressure on pricing to continue, with Dell poised to launch a competitive product in this arena at 999 euros.
