Headline: HP in inkjet OEM deals
Hewlett-Packard (HP) has expanded the OEM relationships within its consumer inkjet printing business with new agreements with Olivetti Tecnost and Samsung Electronics. The two OEMs will use HP’s inkjet technology to expand their printing portfolios with the first products shipping towards the end of the year.
In return, HP will extend its inkjet business into countries where Olivetti and Samsung are strong.
Larry Lesley, SVP of HP’s Imaging and print group, said: “We are always looking for opportunities to grow our business in new ways. Beyond the relationships announced, we will be pursuing additional OEM deals with other major electronics companies.”
