2006 — Palo Alto (CA): Hewlett-Packard (HP) settled its civil case
regarding alleged boardroom spying by agreeing to pay California’s
attorney general’s office $14.5 million.HP also said that it would
enforce measures to ensure that its internal investigations comply with
state law.
