HP World 2005 Conference and Expo Receives Hewlett-Packard Endorsement; 10th Annual Event to Be Supported By Computing Giant

SUNNYVALE, Calif.–Interex,The International Association of Hewlett-Packard Computing Professionals Has received confirmation that HP will continue to support the long-running HP customer event next year, "HP World 2005 Conference & Expo", to be held at Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA, August 15-19, 2005.
On the heels of the successful HP World 2004 Solutions and Technology Conference & Expo in Chicago last month (August 16-20), which attracted 7,032 registrants, Interex confirmed HP's commitment to the popular show, including an HP keynote speaker, session presenters, hands-on workshops and expo booth at the 2005 event.
In a recent letter to Interex Chairman Denys Beauchemin, David Parsons, HP's vice president of Americas Enterprise Marketing, wrote, "HP has enjoyed a long history and working relationship with Interex in support of the HP World conferences and expos … We will continue to encourage our system integrators, value-added resellers, and other partners to consider HP World 2005 as a viable venue for supporting their respective sales and marketing objectives."
The HP World 2005 Conference & Expo will deliver a comprehensive curriculum of breakout sessions, hands-on workshops, training seminars, tutorials, executive panels and roundtables to address the technical needs of the modern multi-platform IT professional.
"This will be the tenth consecutive year that Interex has produced HP World, the industry-leading customer-focused technical training event," said Ronald W. Evans, executive director & CEO of Interex. "We are happy to be returning to our roots by delivering 100% independent solutions-oriented training, developed for technologists by technologists."
In response to member and attendee feedback, Interex will be offering "marketing-free" conference sessions to ensure that sales or marketing presentations will not interfere with the technical content.
"I prefer a conference that will provide me with access to the true technologists who are successfully deploying HP products rather than a conference full of marketing and sales presentations," said Roger McGee, Enterprise Technology Acquisitions Team Leader for Acxiom, HP World 2004 attendee, Interex member, Encompass member, and HP Certified Professional. "I am looking forward to HP World 2005 in San Francisco and expect to see even more independently developed and highly focused technical training."
HP World 2005 attendees also will have the opportunity to participate in HP Certification Testing, as well as training and testing for Oracle, Cisco, Linux and Microsoft Windows certification.
The conference will also provide numerous peer-networking events for sharing ideas and establishing new contacts, while enjoying the many attractions that make San Francisco a #1 destination city in the country.
