Ikon Office Solutions quarterly net rises
NEW YORK, FEB 06 – Business equipment and services company Ikon Office Solutions Inc. on Thursday posted higher quarterly profit driven by copier and printer sales.
Fiscal first-quarter earnings for the company, which sells and leases office equipment such as copiers and printers from manufacturers such as Canon Inc. and Ricoh Co. Ltd. , was $27.6 million, or 21 cents a share, compared with $19.7 million, or 14 cents per share, a year earlier.
Excluding one-time items, the profit was 18 cents a share.
Analysts had forecast a profit of 17 cents a share, according to Reuters Estimates.
Total revenue fell 4 percent to $1.04 billion in the period ending in December, compared to $1.09 billion one year ago.
