Kensaku Konishi To Head Canon India,Takes over as president and CEO.

2007: New Delhi: Canon India Pvt. Ltd. has named Kensaku Konishi as its
new president and chief executive officer. He will oversee the
company’s management and business operations in the country. Konishi
succeeds Alan Grant who led Canon in India for seven years before his
retirement.”I am glad to take on this assignment at this juncture, as
the company celebrates its 10th anniversary year in India. I look
forward to be a part of Canon’s management team as we enter into a new
decade of operations in India,” said Konishi.Konishi, a Canon veteran,
joined the company in 1978, after his graduation from Waseda
University, as part of a management team for production control and
budget for copiers. Following several senior management positions in
Japan, Australia and seven years in the US, he was appointed the MD of
Canon marketing (Singapore) in 2001, where he was responsible for the
overall management of domestic sales and marketing operations.Prior to
his current appointment, Konishi was president and CEO of Canon Hong
Kong Company Ltd., responsible for the strategic management and
direction of Canon’s operations in Hong Kong.
