Ingram Micro Named ‘Best Performing’ Distributor in 2003 
CRN’s 2003 Sourcing Study Shows Industry Leader Outperforms Distribution Competition Listed in Top 10 Preferred Sources List – Rated ‘Most Effective’ Among Distributor Sources Ingram Micro Inc., A leading technology sales, marketing and logistics company, announced today it was named the “Best Performing Distributor in 2003” according to this year’s CRN Sourcing Study — Top 10 Preferred Sources list. CRN magazine is a widely recognized source of news information and analysis in the technology market for business and technology integrators. The CRN Sourcing Study is an industry study that measures and highlights the overall preference and performance perceptions that today’s solution provider customers have regarding the strengths and challenges surrounding distribution partners, manufacturers and other alternative sources for products and services.
In addition to “Best Performing” distributor, Ingram Micro earned top honors among distributors included in this year’s Top 10 Preferred Sources list in five out of the eight performance categories (products, technical support, logistics excellence, credit including credit availability and financing options, as well as human factors which is defined as technical knowledge/expertise of sales representatives, relationship with sales representatives, trust, understanding of business and history, and strategic partnership). This recognition led to Ingram Micro being named the “most effective source” among competitive distributors included in the Top 10 Preferred Sources list. Furthering its performance momentum and strategic relationships with partners, the distribution giant increased its ranking in several areas and earned high marks in customer loyalty (ranking second) and top-of-mind awareness (ranking first) by outnumbering all preferred sources in first mentions.
