Ingram Micro to Distribute PANTONE ColorVANTAGE Inks in United States; World’s Largest Technology Distributor Expands Selection of PANTONE Products
CARLSTADT N.J.- June , 2005 — Pantone, Inc., the leading provider of professional color standards for the graphic communications industry worldwide, today announced the PANTONE(R) ColorVANTAGE(TM) line of inkjet inks will be distributed in the United States by Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world’s largest technology distributor. Designed for a wide range of customers — from commercial printers to photographers and designers — PANTONE ColorVANTAGE inks are formulated to produce superior color output on inkjet printers at a lower price point than OEM inks. In addition to providing superior color quality, the inks dry quicker, offer superior lightfastness and are less prone to color shifts over time than OEM inks. PANTONE ColorVANTAGE is designed for applications that require the most accurate color reproduction and the widest possible range of color, such as photography, fine art reproduction and prepress proofing.

ColorVANTAGE inks are available as single cartridges, starter kits and bulk ink for select wide format printers from EPSON(R), as well as EPSON-compatible printers by Roland, Mutoh and Mimaki. These printers typically use dye-based inks, which have inherent shortcomings in color stability. ColorVANTAGE pigmented inks offer better lightfastness and durability combined with a large color gamut, making them an ideal replacement for OEM inks.
