Headline: Kodak get Lucky share in China
February 2004 – Shanghai (CHN): Eastman Kodak has been given approval by the Chinese government to buy up to a fifth of the Shanghai-based Lucky Film company. Kodak will immediately acquire a 13% stake in the film-maker and embark on a 20-year agreement in which it will contribute $100 million in cash and technology to upgrade the firm’s production facilities.
Kodak is believed to have edged out Fuji Photo Film in securing the deal.
