announced that it has secured the top market share position in the 21-30 ppm and 41-69 ppm color copier/mfp
segments through the first three quarters of 2004. The ranking is based on market research compiled by
Gartner, Inc., one of the world’s leading IT market research firms (Gartner Dataquest: “Printer Quarterly Statistics
United States Database” by Camille Iorns. November 15, 2004).
For Combined color copier/mfp segments up to 69 ppm, Konica Minolta has achieved the number two ranking
among all vendors. Konica Minolta attained 19 percent of the market share in the third quarter, up 6 percent
from the previous quarter.

performance and price since their launch.
In the 21-30 ppm segment (Segment 3), Konica Minolta achieved a market share of 28 percent for the first
three quarters of 2004. Konica Minolta attributes this leading position to the rapid success of the recently
introduced bizhub C350, Konica Minolta’s highly versatile color digital imaging system. The bizhub C350 gives
businesses access to an advanced color imaging system at the price of a monochrome device, enabling
