Lexmark to work aggressively in India
After
closing down its operations in India, Lexmark International has
formulated its plans that will help the vendor in expanding its
operations in the country through its distributor Cyberstar
Infocom.South Asia, Lexmark International, Lorrainna Chew said,
“Lexmark will continue to provide strategic direction and support for
operations in India through its South East Asian headquarters in
Singapore.”This has clearly defined the fact that closing down the
direct operations in India, will not affect the company’s market share.
In fact, the vendor is keen on working aggressively here in sync with
the channel partners spread all across the country.Elaborating more on
its marketing strategies, Chew stated, “The full distribution-based
model will allow Lexmark to maintain its high levels of customer
satisfaction as, we aim to fully utilize our distributor, CyberStar’s
strong distribution network.”The vendor already has the expertise and
experience in providing after-sales service and has subsequently
delivered the highest level of customer satisfaction among the ASEAN
countries. Thus, Lexmark customers will continue to get the same level
of service through the existing arrangement in India.Speaking on the
Lexmark’s business operations, Managing Director, Cyberstar Infocom
Limited, Raj Rathi explained, “Cyberstar will embrace ahead the effort
put in by Lexmark team in the Indian market. We are also committed in
maintaining and strengthening the channel created by Lexmark over the
period of time in India.”The distributor along with the support from
the vendor is now looking for exclusive partners for distributing
Lexmark printers and supplies in varied locations across IndiaIndia.On
being asked about any new plans regarding its operations in IndiaIndia,
Chew replied, “Our priority is to provide our customers in India with
more efficient and effective services. In addition to this, we are keen
on increasing our focus on the SMB segment all across the country.”
