    P. G. Kamath On Lexmark Board of
    Directors

    Mumbai, APRIL O5

    P. G. Kamath has been
    appointed to the board of directors of Lexmark International (India).
    Kamath
    will continue to oversee the Indian operations of Lexmark India as general
    manager. 
     
    Kamath has over 18 years’ experience in the IT industry and
    has a keen insight of the channels industry.

    Commenting on his
    appointment to the board, Kamath said, “Since year 2002, Lexmark India has been
    making steady progress. Lexmark products have found great acceptance among
    discerning Indian users and market shares have been climbing. In the same
    period, the Lexmark family, associates as well as partners, has increased
    multifold.

    “The recent appointment shows Lexmark’s commitment to the
    Indian market. Lexmark will continue to grow its presence in the inkjet and
    laser space with increased offerings in the photo printer and multifunction
    categories. Year 2005 will also see us expanding our channel base as also
    entering new markets.”

    Kamath has been with Lexmark India for over two
    years now and has been responsible for making the company visible as a strong
    player in the industry today, the company said. In the last two years under his
    direction, the company has seen the expansion of its operations in terms of a
    new office in Delhi, a dedicated team of professionals, as well as a streamlined
    distribution lineup. Today, the company is a complete printing solutions
    provider with a seamless after-service setup as well.

    Prior to joining
    Lexmark, Kamath was the vice-president (marketing) at Ingram Micro and was
    responsible for the growth of the company as well as making it one of the best
    wholesalers for technology products and brands in India.
