    New Overtime Rules in U.S.
NEW OVERTIME Rules have gone into effect and promise to create quite a stir as some folks will become eligible for overtime and others will lose it. Of most significance to our industry is the change in white collar eligibility. Used to be that any white collar worker earning less than $8,060 a year was eligible for overtime. That cutoff has been raised to $23,600 a year. Of course, most quick printing folks in that pay range are non-exempt and already receive overtime. It's more complicated than that because several states have requirements that conflict in some way with the new regs.
