Boeing Awards 7-Year, Multi-Million Dollar Contract to Oce for Digital Printing Services
Oce announced Tuesday that they have been awarded a seven-year, multi-million dollar contract for digital printing services by The Boeing Company, the world’s leading aerospace company. The specific value of the contract was not disclosed. With this agreement, Oce becomes Boeing’s primary digital printing supplier.

The document management solution for Boeing spans Oce’s entire portfolio including high-speed production printing, central reproduction services, wide format technical document management, leading edge document management software, and the personnel to operate the applications. Oce will assume operation of 28 printing centers, which currently employ over 250 people. Oce expects to welcome most of these employees to the Oce payroll.

“Boeing has chosen Oce as the print services supplier that best meets our needs at this time. This change will provide Boeing with access to updated technology and improved processes. We look forward to working together to make this a smooth transition,” commented Earl Beauvais, Boeing Shared Services director.

“Oce is very pleased by Boeing’s receptiveness to our approach for handling their document management needs,” remarked Ronald E. Daly, President and CEO of Oce-USA Holding, Inc. “We will fully support them in increasing the productivity and cost-effectiveness of their operation.”

With their North American headquarters in Boeing’s hometown of Chicago, Oce employs 22,000 people and reported revenue of $3.2 billion worldwide in 2002. Oce has seven business units in North America — Oce Printing Systems USA (office and production printing systems), Oce-USA (large format technical document and display graphics printing systems), Archer Management Services (document management and office services outsourcing), Oce Financial Services (captive leasing), Arkwright (media development and manufacturing), Oce- Canada, and Oce Mexico.
